My place of quiet reflection

Everyone needs a place of beauty and peace to reflect and pray.  Mine is this beautiful state park that is just a few miles down the road from me.  He I go to pray, think and put things into perspective.  I have recently gone through some life altering changes and have found great peace by going to my quiet place to walk, talk to God, and more importantly listen for His voice.  Lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge God in all your ways, and He will direct your path.  I am learning daily to acknowledge Him in ALL my ways, not just some of them.  It is too easy to go with the flow and keep your faith living inside of you in a quiet fashion; but when we are required to acknowledge Him out loud in our daily lives; it sometimes takes on a new meaning.  I am ashamed to say that I have failed miserably on any given day.  Not intentionally; but failed none the less.  My goal is to live my life the same at the grocery store as I do at home.  And to live the same way at home as I do at church.  I heard a sermon once called "Orange all the way through".  The speaker said we should all strive to be like a carrot.  A carrot is the same color in the middle as it is on the outside.  There is no variation.  So I challange all of you to find a quiet place of beauty and peace to reflect and pray and ask God to help you to be... orange all the way through.

Blessings

new beginnings...AGAIN!

The butterfly has always been a symbol of new beginnings.  That is why I chose it as my company logo.  I have tried to draw my inspiration from nature as you can see from my photos.

But I must say; my life has been so full of new beginnings that I some time lose track.  God seems to ordain my steps in seasons.  I go from season to season in what ever He has for me at the moment.

Well, another season is upon me.  I gave my two week notice at my job the other day.  My "new" job won't start for 45 days.  If I can prove myself in the business world of purses...I won't have to take the other job.  It is a "rubber meets the road" type of moment.  I am excited, scared, overjoyed, apprehensive, and every other emotion you can think of.  My steps are ordered by the Lord God Almighty Himself.  So, here we go.  Hand in hand walking down a paceth I do not know with the Word of God as the lamp that lights my feet.  Funny thing about lamps...they only light a little way ahead of you at a time.  You have to actually take a few steps in order to see a few steps further in to your future.  That is what faith is.  Taking a few steps at a time; not knowing what is ahead...just knowing that He who guides you is more than able to keep you.

Be Blessed

Let Freedom ring!

I thank God for the opportunity to live in a country where we can enjoy life changing freedom.  Where else in the world do you have the freedoms that we enjoy in the United States of America.  I don't always agree with the choices our government makes; but I do thank God that I have the God given right to speak up and say that I do not agree with them without the fear of being hauled off to jail.  Thank God for a country where a person can have a home based business.  A place of their own where they can pursue making a life of their own choosing by making Purses or hair bows or anything else they chose to make and sell.
A place where we can have the faith that this country was built on.  A place where we can go to church and not hear government ordained sermons.  A place where we can raise our children in the love of the Lord and not worry about the consequences.
A place where we can speak openly of our belief.  Where we can profess loudly our love for God and not worry about being politically correct.
Enjoy your holiday and never forget that this country was founded on Freedom of Religon...not Freedom from Religon.

Blessings
